[vinnomot] Re: "Topple the government & restore the Khilafat" - 11 Hijbut Tahrir activists arrested in Rajshahi

Dear All,

I do not believe politics should be intertwined with religion. It
may give rise to an explosive concoction that the state may not be
able to control eventually. I, however, feel that freedom of speech
has been violated. Protom Alo has been alleged at masterminding this
drive to take revenge of what this group had gone a few months back
to them. If this statement is true then it becomes ironic to think
that the very institution that is epitomizing freedom of press is
actually subverting freedom through oppressive powers. This is also
a dangerous predicament to think about. Should not the press be an
advocate of freedon to speak???

I think the government should reconsider its views while I strongly
believe that religious fervor should not be mixed with statecraft
because the state belongs to all and not to a few.

Thanks for the patience reading.

Bangladesh is staunchly anti-American and very much against Saudi
Monarchy, Sheikhdoms and other pro-western Moslim governments,
which it wants to overthrow. In November 2007, when an American
warship arrived in Bangladesh to help deliver food and dissaster
relief, the Hizb ut-Tahrir, protested the American military
presence in our
