Don't you know that all the tanks that the BAL( Shoe jibi/Shoe Nagori/Shooooo cheton jonogushthi etc etc) has is full of "SHIT" since they stock pile the same to use during HARTALS. I think we should help the BAL in contributing ours as well in the Tank.

হালিম মোহাম্মদ: বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিব মেডিকেল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসাধীন বিএনপির সিনিয়র যুগ্মমহাসচিব কারাবন্দি তারেক রহমানকে নিয়ে আমি ভীত ও আতঙ্কের মধ্যে রয়েছি। তার কিছু একটা হয়ে গেলে এর দায়-দায়িত্ব আমি নেব না। বিএসএমএমইউ'র অর্থোপেডিক সার্জারি বিভাগের অধ্যাপক সিরাজউদ্দিন আহম্মেদ গতকাল দুপুরে হাসপাতালে আয়োজিত সংবাদ সম্মেলনে এ কথা বলেন।

সাংবাদিকদের তিনি জানান, তারেক রহমান গ্রেফতার হওয়ার পর ৯/১০ মাস আগে পুলিশ হেফাজতে ছিলেন। এ সময় তার মেরুদণ্ডের ডি-৬ ও ডি-৭ হাড় ভেঙেছে। ওই হাড়গুলোর ভেতরে থাকা মজ্জা শুকিয়ে যাওয়ায় অনুভূতি কমে পঙ্গু হতে চলেছে।

তারেক রহমানের চিকিৎসা ক্ষেত্রে পরপর তিনটি মেডিকেল বোর্ড গঠন করে চিকিৎসা দেয়া হয়েছে। প্রথমদিকে তার শারীরিক অবস্থার কিছুটা উন্নতি হলেও বর্তমানে অবনতি হচ্ছে। বর্তমানে তার পিঠে, ঘাড়ে, ডান পায়ের সংযোগ স্থানে (হিপে) ব্যথা রয়েছে। তিনি হাঁটতে পারছেন না। মাত্রাতিরিক্ত ব্যথানাশক ওষুধ খাওয়ার ফলে তার কিডনি সমস্যা দেখা দিয়েছে। হাতের কবজি ও পায়ের গোড়ালি ফুলে গেছে। চোখের কোণে পানি জমে ফুলে গেছে। শ্বাসকষ্ট ও চোখে গ্লোকোমা রোগে আক্রান্ত হয়েছেন। শারীরিকভাবে দুর্বলতায় মানসিকভাবে ভেঙে পড়েছেন তারেক রহমান। তাকে বিদেশে পাঠিয়ে চিকিৎসা করা না হলে চিরতরে পঙ্গু হয়ে যাওয়ার আশঙ্কা রয়েছে বলে চিকিৎসক মন্তব্য করেছেন। তারেক রহমানের একাধিক চিকিৎসক সংবাদ সম্মেলনে উপস্থিত ছিলেন।

Different TV channels has reported tonight(25th Aug'02) that Tareq Rahman was seriously injured by fallllllllllllllling in the bathrooooooooom and has gone into coma.

This story has just been produced within 24 hours after the Medical Board and the attending physians treating Tareq issued a grim picture through press conference about his condition and said despite repeated advice he was not sent abroad for treatment by the CTG and further cautioned that he may either die or permanenetly be paralyzed due to inhuman beating while he was taken in remand for several times.

People are very apprehensive about the real story whether this young man is alive or not ???????? People were very susceptive of the ill motive of this oshar Bagaromobor purno CTG
that they are not neutral and their allignment is with Pinnnnnnaaaak daaa & the big P. daaaaaa.

One killed as JCD activists go wild on Tarique's injury news
UNB, Dhaka

One person was killed and two others were injured when the gas cylinder of a microbus that pro-BNP Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) activists set on fire exploded in front of Dhaka College today.

The JCD activists went on the rampage at Dhaka University, Dhaka College and Buet on the news that Tarique Rahman, the BNP's senior joint secretary general, injured himself slipping on bathroom floor at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).

Three passers-by were injured in the microbus's gas-cylinder explosion in front of Dhaka College. They were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared one of them, identified as Jahangir Alam, dead.

On the Dhaka University campus, JCD activities, who were through a meeting near Aparajeya Bangla demanding the release of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and her son Tarique Rahman at noon, rushed to the BSMMU at about 12:25pm following the news.

They went berserk and threw brickbats towards the police as the law enforcers halted the rowdy activists near the hospital.

After a chase and counter-chase between the students and the police, the retreating JCD activists damaged five vehicles and set fire to a black taxicab in front of the Fine Arts Institute and Rokeya Hall.

The pro-BNP students at Buet also staged protests.
