Re: [vinnomot] Daily Star's satisfaction over Hasina,s treatment abroad

It's Hasina-free Bangladesh now!! Waiting to be Khaleda-free.

We will enjoy if Joy does not come to BD in place of Hasina, and Tarek Koko feels too tired to be a BNP-leader.

Let there be a new leader.

[vinnomot] Mr. SA Hannan's Ulterior Motives behind "We should condemn all killers"

Mr. SA Hannan's Ulterior Motives behind "We should condemn all killers"

WRT:

Dear All

The "trial of the collaborators and killers" is a National Issue  and is not
guided by "one-sided propaganda of any one party" as Mr. Hannan is tryiing
to portray.

What the Jamaatis are afraid of, Mr. Hannan?

What a ingenous way to put all in one bracket and thereby absolve Jamaat's
crimes!

The collaborators of the foreign occupation regime (Jamaati Islami
and its Gestapo Al-bodor Bahini) must be given examplary punishment, so that the
history does not repeat again. We must set our PRIROTIES. First thing first !
Between March 25-December 16, 1971 the Jamaat Islami, the party as whole
was the main collaborator of the occupation regime. These Jamaatis are the worst
criminals in the history of our nation..... the Uzbekistan-born Mir Zafor Ali Khan
collaborated with the foreigners [British], but the local born Jamaate Islami cadres
not only collaborated with the foreign occupation army but also actively participated
in the killing missions......that makes Jamaatis worse than the Mir Jafor.

Besides many other attrocities, the killing of the intelluctuals in December
1971 was a part of Jamaat's master plan, made by the then Jamaate Islami's
highest level. The plan had the blessings of the  occupation regime and executed by the
caders of the Jamaat's student wing Islami Chattro Sangha and its gestapo wing Albadar
Bahini. The Islami Chattro Sangha's crimes were so henious and so gravious that Jamaate
Islami leadership had to changed its name of Shangha to Chattro Sibir.

The organized forces of Mukti Bahini played an active role to save the innocent
non-Bengalis from the wrath and anger of the ordinary masses who were victimized
by some Pakistan-ponthi Biharis and razakers, albadar, al shams etc. during during
previous nine months in 1971.

Mr. Hannan's attempts to put everyone in the same bracket is an attempt to save the
Jamaati collaborators and killer through oblique allusion His intention is often to insult
and accuse the freedom fighters & liberation war by double entendre and thereby
undermine our victory.

Here, I am not condoning the "excesses" done by the mobs during the first few weeks
after  liberation. That was essentially a law and order problem in the absence of an
efficient administration and strong police force in a war-ravaged newly independent
country. Nothing can be compared to the rapes, atrocities and killings by the Pak Army
and their collaborators [Razakers, Albodors Alshams etc]. As a consequence, certain
kind spontaneous mob psychology developed which resulted in the excesses. The families
suffered, their women were raped, their houses were burned and many family members
were tortured and. killed  The crimes of Jamaati Razakers, albodors and al-shams were
premeditated, pre-planned and well organized with the blessings of the Pakistani
Military Junta which should never be forgotten and forgiven. The ideology [Pakistan
Doctrine] that created the local collaborators, misguided, motivated and inspired them
should also be thorowly analyzed and properly stopped.

It must be mentioned here that improvised Bihari's were kept in ghettos and "permanent
refugee camps" after they migrated to "the then East Pakistanin late forties and early
fifties by the Pakistani rulers with some ulterior motives.

The poor Biharis were occasionally used as hooligans by the Muslim League and other
reactionaries to attack and suppress the democratic movements during fifties and sixties.
The Santahar and Syedpur communal riots in 1950 and Dhaka anti-Hindu riot during Indo-Pak
war in 1965 was participated entirely by the  Bihari goons instigated by the Ayub Regime.
[read Dangar Itihash and "Purbo Bangla Rukhiya Darao" for communal harmony by Taffazol
Hossain Manik Miah].

Most migrants from West Bengal and Assam were assimilated with the common people
of Bangladesh [the then East Pakistan] and didn't take any anti-Bangladesh position in
1971. Some of them were very patriotic freedom fighters. A large number of urdu
speaking refugees from India living in Bangladesh [the then East Pakistan] were misguided
and used as rioters and killers against the ordinary people, Bangalee Hindus and  Muslims
without any discrimination.

There is definitely a heinous and ulterior motive behind Jamaati Advisor Mr. S.A. Hannan's
amalgamation of everyone in the same bracket and delibarate mix up of issues.
[Dhama chapa dewar Apo-koushol].

BTW, Mr S.A. Hannan talks about all the "condemning  all killers , killers of
innocent Muslims and Non-Muslim Bengalees,  killers of Biharis and migrant population
of India to the then East Pakistan, killers of freedom fighters and killers of Rajakars,
that is all killings  made at that time without trial by various forces".

Mr. Hannan, who are these innocent Muslims and who are these Non-Muslim
Bangalees? Can you elaborate?

Yes, notorious Monaem Khan was killed by a Muktijoddha [of course, without a
tial]. Do you think this patriot freedom fighter should be tried too?

groups without any discrimination.

time created by various forces. We should not be guides by one-sided propaganda of

did in 1971 in East Pakistan.
Don't just comment on 'propaganda' made by Pakistani media.
Well, I am not surprised.
You are typical Pakistani. (ignorant about the real
incidents of 1971  and moved by the Pakistani official

To me there is another surprise .
I met a serving Pakistani Army officer about seven/eight years ago
(he was a Major at that time: may be he is Lt Col or Full Colonel now).

The fact he told me was a real surprise.
Even Sheikh Mujib did not say that  before 1970 election  !!
He told me that most of the West Pakistani civilian officers
who were posted in East Pakistan used to consider himself/herself
as the 'lord' and they expected East Pakistani people to 'serve' them.

[vinnomot] Better treatment for Hasina, Khaleda ...published in the Daily New Age on 12/06

Better treatment for
Hasina, Khaleda

I am not surprised at the offer for better treatment for Khaleda, Hasina, Arafat and another medical board appointed for Tarique! This military-driven caretaker government with so many brilliant people at the helm appears to be failing so brilliantly!

Politicians and influential bureaucrats are sent abroad when they are sick and their children study in foreign countries in most of the cases. It has always been the scenario in Bangladesh's case and nobody ever asks if it is morally right to do so.
The rulers and the bureaucrats are responsible for building hospitals and schools for healthcare and education system in the country but they ignore building quality medicare system and run away to foreign countries if and when they are sick. Similarly, quality schools and colleges for ordinary people are very few and education in these institutions are mostly in Bengali medium whereas most of the top politicians and bureaucrats send their children to English-medium schools in Bangladesh or in foreign countries. Medical expenses in foreign countries, I understand, for politicians in power are paid by the government but how do they pay the expensive foreign education costs for their offsprings? Surely not by very honest means one can conclude!

[vinnomot] Re: [khabor.com] We should condemn all killers

Mr. S.A. Hannan, you are going out of bound. Understandingly your pro Pakistani writing has brought the ghost image of what you and your party did during liberation war.

You comments about our glorious liberation war as civil war. Your diehard attempt to save skin of Jamaati killer al-badars are nothing new BUT your comments in this letter where you precisely condemned freedom fighters for fighting against Rajakar al-badars (slaves of Pakistani army) and killing them in terms of war is totally unacceptable. I condemn you for your ugly thought of doing trickery to save devil golam azam-nizami-akm Yusuf gong.

You are making your self a naked man, one who has no more clothes to hide your unashamed unapologetic, unrepentant jamaati mind.

If you have to condemn all killing without considering anything then are you willing to condemn all killing that took place on both side during war led by Prophet Mohammad (PBUH)? Your illogical comments were adolescent though I know how clever you are.

Please refrain from disguising your self as a scholar which you are not and please desist yourself of making our liberation war a mockery.

With Jamaat-e-Islami, we should do exactly what our prophet did to the Jewish tribe of Medina who betrayed during the war and joined hands with the attacking forces of Quraish. To follow our Prophet (PBUH) Sunnah we should execute all male members of Jamaat WHO ARE IN FAULT after tribunal finds them guilty and send all female and kids to exile (Pakistan). That will be a solution in light of Islam.

I urge everyone to condemn Mr. Hanna's mischievous plan to humiliate our liberation history as an attempt to save Jamaati collaborators.

I have written on this subject before. Pakistan army was a continuation
of British rule. They gave the freedom with one hand and took it back
with other. Mujbiur Rahaman, in spite of being an intelligent
politician, exploited the disparity created by army. We got it in
inheritance. It was the British who picked soldiers from two backward
districts of West Pakistan. Our people, politicians and aristocrats had
nothing to do with the composition of Army. Here patience was required,
as the retiring officers could have been replaced from East Pakistan
until provincial quota was fulfilled. But Mujib wanted to make the
change overnight. That was the reason Army and AL could not agree to
transfer of power. Mujib was going to be elected as PM of whole
Pakistan , but quite foolishly he preferred to become President
of Bangladesh, because he had already did a deal with Indian agency
RAW.

I have also quoted the example of two women who came to the court of
King Solomon (A.S.) claiming a boy as their son. He ordered him to be
cut into two pieces and given one each to the two claimant women. The
real mother agreed to forgo her right, but the other woman did not. So
Hazrat Sulaiman gave the son to his mother and his life was saved.

But unfortunately, neither Pak Army nor Awami League were true in their
love for the country. It was expected of the army officers, but not AL
politicians. Because they had participated in political struggle side by
side with Quaide Azam, Husain Shaheed Suharwardy and Maulvi Fazlul Haq.
They were expected to show some patience and refuse to compromise
territorial integrity and sovereignty of Pakistan. But by overreacting
and hurrying for transfer of power Mujib facilitated breakup of
Pakistan, world's largest Muslim State, the second state after the state
of Madhinah to have been established on the basis of Islam.

Jamaate Islami is far superior to AL because it was seeking to
represent the entire Millate Paksitan and not Sindhis, Pathans
of Bengalis. These elements represent politics of jahilya (age
of ignorance when every man fought for his tribe). For Muslims
cause of love is Islam and cause of hatred absence of Islam. So
JI called every single Pakistani to vote for a balanced system which
would provide justice to each and every nationality, area and person,
in the country. If the people of West Pakistan were not under undue
influence of aristocracy, they would have voted for it. East
Pakistanis were better off in this respect, but they were taken over by
anti Pakistan propaganda of AL. It often happens that a party takes
extreme line to win the polls, but after winning the elections adopts a
moderate stance so as to enhance its base to the whole country. But
instead of making it humble and considerate, the election victory made
AL more arrogant and hostile to the common cause.

Every single person, Syed Maududi or Shaikh Mujibur Rahman, will one
day face the Lord to account for his deeds. And that success is the
real success. Only Allah knows what will happen on that day. But one
can see that the Jamaat at least talked of Islam, Pakistan and
Justice, whereas AL talked in terms of parochialism and hatred of the
days of jahaliya (ignorance). For people like Mr. Farid, let me make
it clear that to divide people on ethnic lines has been declared an act
of jahaliya by holy prophet of Islam.

Javed Iqbal proclaims vehemently, "Mujib died as a great sinner who
attempted to break world's largest Islamic country. He would be held
accountable for this sin before the Creator".

Now, that's what we call chutzpah!

Javed Iqbal exhibits not even an iota of regret for the wanton
genocide/rapes in East Pakistan. His sole concern is that Pakistan
failed to retain its empire with the Bengalis as a subject people. To
add insult to the injury he condemns Mujib as a great sinner who
"would be held accountable for this sin before the Creator". How much
more vile and obscene can he get?

As for patience, hadn't East Pakistanis been patient since the time of
Jinnah and Liaqat Ali Khan? What was the result? Leaders like
Sher-e-Bangla Fazlul Huq and Suhrawardy were repeatedly insulted,
called Indian agents and marginalized. And when they won landslide
elections in the 1954 election, the ministry was dismissed within
weeks under the pretext that the election winners were traitors!

Yahya Khan was obviously emboldened by all that to imagine after the
1970 elections that all he needed to do was "sort out the Bengalis".
Murder of 3 million civilians and the rape of a quater million women
were no more than the military's duty to keep the Pakistan empire
united with East Pakistan as a colony. What were East Pakistanis
supposed to do? Meekly accept a repeatation of past history? What
happened was worse. The British imperialists couldn't have even
imagined what the Pakistan army did in Bangladesh.

And now, some three dozen years after those horrible crimes against
humanity, Javed Iqbal has the temerity to say that Mujib is a sinner
who will have to answer to the Creator!!

Javed Iqbal, it is the military that broke Pakistan, not Awami League.
Yahya Khan was an illegitimate ruler who had usurped power in 1969 to
prevent the Bengali Speaker of the National Assembly from succeeeding
Ayub Khan. The military had believed that elections will throw up a
fragmented Parliament and it will be able to continue to with its
dictatorship behind the facade of a squabbling Parliament.

Unfortunately for the military, Awami League won absolute majority on
its own. Moreover, it had the sympathy and the support of Wali Khan's
National Awami Party. The military, obviously, would have none of it.
It decided to block the majority in the Parliament from framing the
Constitution and forming the ministry so that the status quo could be
maintained.

And what was the status quo? It was the Pakistan empire under military
dictatorship with East Pakistan as a colony and Bengalis as a subject
people. The military was willing to shed as much Bengali blood as it
took and dishonor as many Bengali women as it could to maintain the
status quo. And when all that failed, it had the dubious distinction
of expelling the majority from the country!

In Javed Iqbal's book, it is the victims that must be damned - Mujib
is a sinner who must answer the Creator for his sins!! The military
who perpetrated the crimes are martyrs and the Jamaatis who supported
and abetted those horrendous crimes in East Pakistan are the heroes!

Javed Iqbal, taking the cue from his evil Jamaate Islami, looks upon
human beings as mere objects. East Pakistanis had to suffer thru
unspeakable crimes to atone for failure to vote for Jamaate Islami.
Awami League had to suufer for failing to bring the Jamaate Islami in
West Pakistan into the corridors of power thru the backdoor.

It is not that Javed Iqbal cares any more for the ordinary people of
West Pakistan. He has taken to boasting of Pakistanis becoming cannon
fodder for Jamaate Islami's passion to pursue jihad in Chechniya,
Bosnia, Afghanistan and Kashmir. But how come Jamaate Islami doesn't
ask anyone to engage in jihad against the feudal order in Pakistan
which today is infamous for the most feudal of South Asian societies?

It is the Jamaatis who are guilty of the greatest crimes against
humanity. And they will be held accountable for them by the Creator.
