Though you know or not history tells that Bangladesh Navy first got deep sea patrolling support when 4 Frigates were bought by the Govt. of Ziaur Rahman. During Zia's period Bangladesh were not so rich to buy such expensive War Ships for our Navy. In fact the KSA's King has signed a blank cheque to Zia's Govt. for buying these Naval Ships. So Zia was gratitude to KSA & named four Frigates as bellow; 1. Hazrat Abu Bakar(Rh), 2. Hazrat Usman(Rh), 3. Hazrat Umar Faruq(rh), 4. Hazrat Ali Haider(Rh). Is it clear enough, for your biased mind Your Sheikh Mujib never take the initiative to develop our Bangladeshi armed forces.
