Iraqi Leader Nouri Al Maliki is a shreud leader who kept very good relation with two powers USA and Iran. He received military protection for his government and money from Americans as well as usual cordial relationship with Shia Iran. As long as he thinks American protection is necessary he will have it make no doubt about it either Obama or McCain whoever becomes next President. Americans cannot leave without approval from Nouri Maliki , that's the reality.
In a sense his relation with the Iranians are better than with Americans.
America spent over a trillion dollar for Iraq operation and won't leave Iraq without succedding their goal. Iraqis has to pay back this cost and how they will pay it remains to be seen.
