Re: [vinnomot] Re: [mukto-mona] A tribute to Sam Manekshaw

Thank you Mr. Shamim Chowdhury for giving some lessons on the history of Operation Blue Star to Mr. Mohiuddin.  It is difficult for a few people of Bangladesh to observe the tribute paid to Gen Sam Manekshaw because under his leadership the joint forces of India and Bangladesh defeated the war criminal Niazi and his troops. We all should know who these people are. They were the supporters of the war criminals, who committed all possible crimes against unarmed people of Bangladesh. These people try to undermine any effort of the people of Bangladesh on recognizing those who contributed so much for our independence. To create confusion, they bring the names of persons and issues quite irrelevantly. Why should someone bring the issue of the operation in Golden Temple while recognizing and paying tribute to Gen. Manekshaw? The defeated war crminals and their supporters can try to create some confusion for some time but they won't be able to change the history as we observe now in Bangladesh,

I have no problem to pay my tribute to anyone that helped to free my country from the clasps of heinous Pakistan forces and their collaborators Razakar/Al-Badar and Jamaati.

But Mr. Mohiuddin, your hatred toward India the home of one of the largest Muslim congregation is not going to take you anywhere. Otherwise why you raise the question of paying homage to a General who died in June 6th or 7th of 1984. You waited almost 24 years to show your blackened heart felled with hatred. People paying tribute to Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw who defeated your loving Pakistan army may break your heart but that is the reality. Bringing other stories which has no relation to this identifies you who you are.

By the way you even did not named the General right, his name was General Shabeg Singh. The General died during operation Blue Star which took place on the night of 5-6 June 1984. And just for your information the Major-General Brar who led the operation Blue Star, Lt-General Ranjit Singh Dayal who made the attack plan and the President who signed the order all were from Sikh religion. Another irony of this death was the Major-General Brar commander of operation Blue Star and the General Shabeg Singh both fought for the war of independence of Bangladesh.

Thanks

Shamim
