    1. I am Jewish, but I am raising my nephew to be muslim as his deceased father was. It was good showing him these pictures and showing him where my brother came from and what traditions are like outside the United States. Even though he was a step brother, aways will think of him as my brother and honor him so. Thats why I am raising his child as such.

    1. You don't have to be muslim to appreciate these pictures as truely beautiful pictures of people expressing their faith. I am truely grateful to see something other than the overall negative view of the faith we recieve in the US.

    1. Thank you Alan Taylor and the Boston Globe for featuring the holy month of Ramadhan with the incredible pictures you received from various sources.
Another Chrustian and I were blessed to be invited to a beautifully prepared Ramadan dinner at the home of a young newly married Muslim couple - very dear friends.
He and other Muslims who are members of our United Religions Initiative San Francisco Peninsula Cooperation Circle (URI SFP CC) bring joy, wisdom, and understanding of the Peace of Islam to our many interfaith attendees.
We send the sincirest of love and warm wishes to all true followers of Islam, especially during this time of Ramadan.

  • 1. I am not a Muslim, but I had the privilege of attending an Interfaith Service at the International Day of Peace at a local Muslim Mosque and breaking the fast after sunset on September 21. It was a most beautiful, spiritual experience hearing the call to prayer with many different kinds of prayers for peace - Muslim, Jewish, Unitarian Universalists, Catholic, Methodist, Presbyterian, and many more faith traditions. Afterward, we all participated in breaking the fast after Ramadan - even though many of us didn't observe Ramadan - and had a find Middle-Eastern meal. It was a beautiful service and I felt cleansed spiritually and felt the love all people of all religions.
The pictures are beautiful and remind me of this beautiful experience.

Don't discount the positive side of globalization. There should be more winners than losers .....
The Mullahs, Monarchs and Religion-traders may have to worry .... not the ordinary muslims ...
Tomorrow will be BETTER DAY for all of us ...

    Live and let Live ...........
