(part of this news was broadcasted in CNN today)

Ganges Basin, the largest delta of the world is home to hundreds of rivers. But due to extreme population pressure and lack of Government initiative to preserve water resources, thousands of illegal dams have been constructed which are killing the water flow of the rivers-most of them have been converted into paddy fields! Thirty years years back, these rivers were important waterways for transport and flood control. Fosaactv investigates in depth what is forcing the villagers to stop the flow of the rivers-and as a result the whole area is facing total environmental disaster.

I would appreciate if every one of us, can forward this video news to their friends to let them know, how we are making our planet inhabitable. While shooting this video I have been helped by the local people who otherwise do not have any voice and mute spectator of this disaster.

Thanks
Biplab
