Continuation of Iraq/Afghanistan war will definitely ruin US economy make no doubt about it. Although Defence contractors like HalliBurton's who recently moved it HQ to Dubai for unknown/unspecfied reason and others are the primery benificiery of this war .Ordinery Americans will suffer the most.Suffering has already been started . look at the Foreclosures and Bankrupties and loss of jobs.Skyrocketing price of essential food items and gas price already creating public dissatisfaction. As a result defeat of Republican party in the next Presidential election is almost imminent.

If USA can gain a share of 'oil wealth' from Iraq that could reduce the damage done to US economy. USA can demand compensation to the pro-US Maliki administrration for 'bringing down Dictatorship in Iraq and establishing a democratioc system'. Nothing is free in this World. Bringing Democracy and removing Dictatorship has a price tag. If Iraq agrees to share their oil resource or pay back some cost of war to US taxpayers that could alliviate the suffering of US economy. After all USA already spent Trillion dollar for this war.

Afghanistan is a poor country with no resouce other than 'Opium' cannot pay back to the US government and could be forgiven.
