Share of Oil Wealth?
Where in the history has USA ever gone in to business of owning a Mineral Deposit or Oil before that now USA is going to start owning Iraq's Oil Wells?
Even in land of USA, the Government itself has never owned any Oil Wells, Gold Mines or mines of any Minerals. Even US-owned land is leased to private companies if there are any Mineral Deposits there. US Constitution will have to be changed if USA starts owning any of the Oil Wells of Iraq according to your presumption concieved on plain ignorance.
You are so ignorant that you think, owning Iraq's Oil Wells that can not earn more than $ 25 billion a year, would offset USA Foreign Debt of $ 14 trillion. Do you know, GDP of USA is also $ 14 trillion sir?
Do you know, US Exports were $ 700 billion last year and Imports were $ 1.7 trillion?
If anybody knows the difference between a billion and a trillion knows, how foolish is your presumption, "If USA can gain a share of 'oil wealth' from Iraq that could reduce the damage done to US economy".
Even if you are right that Moron Bush's Adventures have cost us $ 3 Trillion since 2002, average per year cost is half Trillion a year, whereas our Balance of Trade & Receipts Deficit is $ 1 trillion a year.
Afghanistan used to be self-sufficient in food before ISI had learnt, how to manufacture Heroin from Opium and how to smuggle it to the West. Heroin used to be manufactured in Pakistan with Afghan Opium after that. When CIA found-out, the factories were moved to Afghanistan in 1990.

Continuation of Iraq/Afghanistan war will definitely ruin US economy make no doubt about it. Although Defence contractors like HalliBurton's who recently moved it HQ to Dubai for unknown/unspecfied reason and others are the primery benificiery of this war .Ordinery Americans will suffer the most.Suffering has already been started . look at the Foreclosures and Bankrupties and loss of jobs.Skyrocketing price of essential food items and gas price already creating public dissatisfaction. After all USA already spent Trillion dollar for this war.Afghanistan is a poor country with no resouce other than 'Opium' cannot pay back to the US government and could be forgiven.
