Hasina, Khaleda
I am not surprised at the offer for better treatment for Khaleda, Hasina, Arafat and another medical board appointed for Tarique! This military-driven caretaker government with so many brilliant people at the helm appears to be failing so brilliantly!

Politicians and influential bureaucrats are sent abroad when they are sick and their children study in foreign countries in most of the cases. It has always been the scenario in Bangladesh's case and nobody ever asks if it is morally right to do so.
The rulers and the bureaucrats are responsible for building hospitals and schools for healthcare and education system in the country but they ignore building quality medicare system and run away to foreign countries if and when they are sick. Similarly, quality schools and colleges for ordinary people are very few and education in these institutions are mostly in Bengali medium whereas most of the top politicians and bureaucrats send their children to English-medium schools in Bangladesh or in foreign countries. Medical expenses in foreign countries, I understand, for politicians in power are paid by the government but how do they pay the expensive foreign education costs for their offsprings? Surely not by very honest means one can conclude!
'O amar sonar Bangla, ami tomai bhalobashi' sounds to me a mere silly joke.
