[vinnomot] Re: [notun_bangladesh] Why are we going down ? Because ....

Friends

I am in agreement with brother Musfique that Pakistan is not important for us rather we should not at all be bothered what is happening with them.As all conscious Bangladeshi citizens are aware of serious local, regional and international conspiracy is being hatched to subjugate our Bangladesh by the  bestial friend of BAL and the Shoe Shills.

So, to uphold our national integrity, security and sovereignty we need to focuss only on Bangladesh more than any  issue which is irrelevent to us. This is need of the hour.

Dear Mr Enayet Ullah

though I respect your firm conviction to your prior comments, yet personaly I beleive our focus should be on fixing our own mess. Reality is Pakistan is a foreign land to us, and except for some business and minor military deals, the two nation doesnot enjoy much bilateral realationship.  The existing socio-economical-political chaos should be faced and retified by Pakistani nationals only. As the part of good neighborly conduct, we the Bangladeshi Nationals could only wish them good luck.  It would be unwise to brand such feelings inspired by inner burn.  Bangladeshis donot enjoy the luxary to either concentrate on other nation's internal matters, or forcasting their doom.

I agree with your notion that, a solution to a problem could be achived through constructive discussion/criticism.  So I thank you for the thoughtful insight.

Mushfiq,

I standby my comments! It may cause some heart-burn, but, truth need to be realized. Self-efficating is a way of self-progress. Unless we digress, we can not progress!

Lets look at the history: Muslim League was formed at 1920, almost a century ago. Jinnah, Allama Iqbal, Seikh Mujib, Surwardi, Bhasani all these great leaders were part of it. Then they formed Pakistan in 1945 - almost half a century from now. Pakistan was a darling of Washington for 40 years. Pakistan helped to bring down communism with collaboration of Regan. That helped American global power and the next century belong to New American Century.

My question is: WHAT Pakistan achieved?

17 years war in Afganistan, dictator Ziaul Haq build madrassas to mass-produce taleban foot-soldiers, bring down communism. They got billions of dollars assistance, what they have done to for the country? Tell me What they have done?

Build any world-class univeristy? No where in the islamic world there is a world-class Tier-1 univeristy ever build. We failed miserably!

I have no kind word for Pakistan. Sorry!

You mentioned about atom bomb, that's almost a joke now, cause pakistan do not have delivery power to deter India.

I envy Indian rise as a proxy super power. They have built world class univeristies, they pioneered out-sourcing jobs to Bangalore. Despite all these social problems, India able to steer forward to create a blue-color working society.

No question, and the truth is: Pakistan is totally fuked-up. Just wait another 10 years, Pakistanis will loiter in the street of Karachi or Lahore as they do in Wijiristan. I know its hard, but its true.

Personaly I wouldnot condone such comments on Pakistan or any other nation (that includes India as well). I beleive Mr Enayet Ullah has got better talent than balantly condemning Pakistan. If Pakistanis were only enagaged in Madrasa education and nourishing Talebans, then they couldnot be placed in the prestigious arena of Nuclear knowhows. We also have to remember that, the only Muslim Scientist who is a nobel lauterate is a Pakistani as well. Instead of plundering the foreign aid, Pakistan have successfully utilized it in developing mordern technology.

True that, Pakistan is no different that, India or Bangladesh when it comes to corruption. A handsome portion of Pakistani people beleive in radical and extreme form of Islam. But that is their choice and as an independant entity they are entittled to practice what they beleive, as long as such practice donot tarnish Islam or become the cause of agony and suppression for others*.
Before we criticize other nations, it is recommended that we look at ourselves first (Bangladeshis) . Do we not have our own shortcomings and limitations? In Asia, Bangladesh is the only country who ranked top for a record of five times for corruption. Our politicians  are often accused of massive corruption. Our intellectuals are engaged in stooging for foreign Govts. Our culutural arena promotes the culture of our neighbor. Our educational instituitions practice vandalism, extortion, and violence isntead of producing scholars.

Surprisingly only the minory of Bangladeshis are involved in such destructive acts. Hence if the foreign nationals point the finger of accusations, obviously it would hurt the sentiments of our majority. Similarly if Pakistans as a whole nation is blamed for the act of a few, similar reaction is expected.

I also like to strongly disagree with Mr Faruque Alamgirs comments on this issue as well, who seriously have failed to see a broader picture, thus commiting injustice to his knowledge and talent as well.  Almost all Pakistanis strongly disapprove the genocide and rape committed by then West Pakistani Junta during our liberation war, who were kept in complete dark from such happenings. So should forgive them but shouldnot forget the martydom of millions of our freedom fighters.

I feel a serious change is needed in our attitude, approach, education, and politics in order to survive as an independant nation.

Musfique.

Truth be told: Pakistan is a fucked-up country.

None of its leader, since inception, ever had any vision. Pakistan always struggled to find its identity - is it a Taliban country? is it a modern state?

Most damaged was done by Ziaul Haq, an idiot who only want to appease American; layed the foundation of Taliban and Madrassas! Pakistan never made any progress in democracy, modernity!

Khoda ke liye - a reactionary state, to react against India, but, failed to achieve any identity of its own. Pakistani leader never worked for their people. Not Bhutto, not Ziaul, not Newaz - none of them! Its a feudal state, its a rouge state!

To move forward, Pakistan need to burned down all these madrassas. These kids coming out from madrassas with diaper-head, what skill-set they learn to survive? What modern technological achievement they ever posses? Have any madrassa-educated graduate ever earned any Nobel prize? Besides learning few verses of Quran and 7th century Arabic literature, what life-skill does it really teaches you? Nothing, zilch!
We are banishing God with our own ignorance!

Peace,

Mr. Asif Ali Zardari, widower of Ms Benazir Bhutto has been elected
as president of Pakistan. His track record, his corruption stories
and his infamy in the world political circles, could not prevent
him from securing victory with a convincing margin. Voices were
raised, even from unexpected circles about his choice, but to no
avail. The US and European press came out openly against him,
highlighting his corruption and undeclared properties in Europe,
Dubai and the US. But even that could not stop him from entering the
President House of Paksitan. Indeed USA is backing him up and UK is
the architect of his success.

Election to the highest office apart, Mr. Zardari has not changed a
bit. When he gained entry into political arena, thanks to sudden and
unexpected death of his spouse, he brought all his old friends,
however infamous, back to their old offices. He appointed his
friend Ms Fahmida Mirza to the coveted office of Speaker, National
Assembly. He chose her husband, Mr. Zulfiqar Ali Mirza as the
defacto chief Minister of Sind, his home province. He brought back
Dr. Shoaib Suddle, as IG Sindh, who was involved in the murder case
of Mr. Zardari's alienated brother in Law, Mir Murtaza Bhutto. He re-
appointed notoriously corrupt officers like Salman Faruqui and
Rahman Malik. He is behaving as if he is the king. And people's
party , a party credited with many sacrifices for democracy has
fallen on his feets as Indian Dalits bow at the feet of their
Brahiman Lords.

Even after election to the office of the President, his coteries are
throwing away national wealth to appease him. Yesterday, Governer
and the Chief Minister of Sindh donated Rs one MIllion each to
Karachi Race Club, because he is fond of Races. In view of rising
cost of living and diminishing income of the people, the money
should have gone to provide food or medicine to the needy. But old
habits diehard. People also laughed upon learning that sweets will
be distributed in all prisions of Pakistan, where Mr. Zardari was
held in captivity. Mr. Zardari has not forgotten his prison mates.
Horses and stables will soon return to President House.

Ladies and gentleman ! did you ever think why we have fallen to this
shameful status? The world is laughing at us. Indeed Mr. Zardari has
the backing of USA and the Pakistan Army, but that does not mean
that the will of 160 Million Pakistanis has been nullified. It is
our own faults and double standards. I have always felt pride in
being a Pakistani. But today I am ashamed of being one. Our
newspapers and magazines, TV and radio channels are responsible for
this dismal state of affairs. They only report, but never guide.
They know that one leader is popular because his ethnic politics or
sentimental black mail, yet they keep promoting him. They have
allowed people to be ruled in perpetual serfdom. Have our people
been destined to serve one master after another of the same family
or descent? Does this happens anywhere else in the world that after
death of a spouse, another takes control of party office and all the
party stalwarts start supporting him, irrespective of his stature
in the eyes of the public?. Until yesterday, they were haris and
servents of BB, today they are jialas of Zardari. Switching of
loyalties was never so swift. What has happened to criteria of party
service, sacrifices and longevity of affiliation to party cadre.
Everything has given way to family relationship. Do we need such
democracy? How it is different from dictatorship?

People of Pakistan need a true Islamic order, in which people are
elected on the basis of their peity, sincerity and capability.
People do not look at parties but at the persons they bring to fore.
Where character is the sole determinant of a public office. Where
people cannot declare themselves as a candidate, but only party
ranks elect their representatives. When will we raise above sham
democracy and long for true Islamic representation system ?
