Anwar Zahid passes away
Anwar Zahid, veteran journalist and former Information Minister, died at 8-45pm Wednesday in United Hospital in the city. He was 73, reports UNB.
Anwar Zahid was long suffering from kidney problems and diabetes. He was admitted to United Hospital on August 6. As his condition deteriorated he was kept on life support.
Anwar Zahid served in different dailies since the Pakistan days and held key positions. Last he was with daily Inqilab in advisory position.
Also known as left politician he had joined Jatiya Party and was information minister for some time
