Great Goat Weekend! Was it their last?
Carne and Leche had a fantastic weekend, the owners are just praying it isn't their last. The weekend was off to a good start on Friday when we got a fresh load of Leche's favorite kind of tree limbs (Carne likes them, but honeysuckle is his favorite). Additionally, we got Carne a new collar after his old one broke from old age (collar was on Carne when bough from the breeder).
Saturday was fantastic as Mrs. Felker and some of her recently graduated pre-school kids came over to meet the goats. Both goats and kids loved the experience, as the kids got to pet the goats and the goats got a lot of feed! We also found out about a new goat song by Tom T. Hall, which we played for the pre-school kids. Click the link to hear it and try opening it with Quicktime or iTunes: 04-how-to-talk-
Carne and Leche also got another walk on Sunday to Lacey Woods Park, where they found a great tree stump to play on. This stump allowed them to climb high up and get a great vantage point - they loved it! After wandering around the park for about an hour, the two came home to wander around the yard while their owners finished up planting the crops.
Just for an update, we have received 459 pet-ition (thanks Landon) signatures, which means we're almost half way to our goal. The only problem is that we have 4 days until the goats have to go! Please SIGN HERE!!!
